I’m now a manager for product testing at the Adidas headquarters in Bavaria. I’m in charge of the running and swimming clothing categories. I manage the testing process which involves organising and overseeing wear tests, examining garments, writing test reports and communicating the results with our marketing, design and development departments. I am in constant contact with Adidas athletes and I’m always trying to find new product testers. I love my job and I’m proud that all the hard work and effort paid off.

Probably one of the fonder memories that everyone has of being a student is packing a suitcase and heading off across the country to live in student accommodation. In my case, in between my second and third years, I packed up a suitcase and backpack and headed off across the continent to do a traineeship at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.

I haven’t looked back since choosing to study Biomedical Sciences (Health, Exercise and Nutrition) at Cardiff Met. The variety of modules, and the opportunities to complete practical work, make the course ideal for those with an overall interest in health, exercise and nutrition. Personally, as someone coming to university without a clear idea of the exact field in which I would like to work, I have valued the wide range of topics covered during this course.

One of the biggest regrets I’ve had whilst being at University, is not becoming a Student Ambassador earlier on. I started working as a Student Ambassador in September of this year, and unfortunately, because I’m in my final year at University this is the only year I will be able to do this role.
